This traditional RVCC Spring Concert includes all of the prepared songs performed by all four choirs and the Sibling Choir minus the awards and Special Senior Recognition honoring our seniors and their parents.     The concert length of this Concert is approximately 2 hours. We especially welcome all of our RVCC Alumni to join us for this concert, come on stage to sing “Praise His Holy Name” with the choir, and stay for the Alumni Reception in the Jefferson Center Atrium immediately following the concert.

This is the traditional RVCC Spring Concert including all of the prepared songs performed by all four choirs and the Sibling Choir. Awards and Special Senior Recognition honoring our seniors and their parents is also included in this concert.   The concert length of this Concert is approximately 2’ 30”. All choir parents and chorister families should plan to attend this full concert that includes the awards. 

 All Choir families should plan to attend the Sunday Concert and reception.  Attend both Saturday and Sunday if you can! 

The Roanoke Valley Children’s Choir, under the direction of Kimberly Ruse Davidson, will be presenting their 30th Annual Spring Concert, “A Little Spring Music” on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 4:00 PM and on Sunday, April 9, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Shaftman Hall, The Jefferson Center.  Musical selections will include classical, folk, gospel, Broadway and patriotic.

The Concert finale will include all 270 choristers singing selections from “Aladdin” choreographed by Kevin Jones.  Both concerts will close with a patriotic salute that includes a string quartet, and dancers from the Southwest Virginia Ballet. 

The Roanoke Valley Children’s Choir offers an in depth program of 3 training choirs and a concert choir with a total of 270 children ages 7-18.  Mrs. Pattie Clevenger directs the youngest Training Choir accompanied by Mrs. Carla Crouse.  Ms. Davidson directs the remaining 3 choirs accompanied by Mrs. Carla Crouse for the Training Choirs and Dr. Shelbie Wahl-Fouts for the Concert Choir.

Recent featured performances for the RVCC Concert Choir include the 2008 and 2014 Southern Division American Choral Director Conventions, the ACDA National Convention in Salt Lake City, Utah in 2015 and a solo performance at Carnegie Hall in 2016.

Come and hear this nationally recognized choir as they celebrate their 30th anniversary of excellence!
