The Hoorah Cloggers and the Wild Turkeys Appalachian dance and music ![]() The Hoorah Cloggers are a longstanding tradition in the New River Valley. Based in Blacksburg since 1975, the Hoorah Cloggers delight in giving audiences a firsthand taste of the energy and joy of live Appalachian music and dance. An educational program by the Hoorah Cloggers includes performance, historical information, demonstration of the instruments used in Appalachian music, explanation of dance steps and figures, and audience participation in a big-circle dance or Virginia Reel.
