The Pace Brothers Trio

The Cyrus Pace Trio is a dynamic group of inspired musicians on guitar, organ, and percussion who create their own version of the classic jazz ensemble. Steeped in tradition, they create modern sounds that resonate with all generations.

Call and Response: The Roots of Jazz introduces students to the history and basic concepts of jazz performance. Students will be introduced to the instruments of the Cyrus Pace trio and their use in jazz and other musical idioms. Through demonstration and participation, students will understand call-and-response melodic structure, swing rhythm, and improvisation. Time and numbers permitting, students will be coached to turn their own musical and lyrical ideas into a song accompanied by the Cyrus Pace trio.

RATES: $360 per assembly (45-50 minutes) $600 for two back-to-back assemblies in same location $720 for three back-to-back assemblies in same location

Grades: K-5 6-8 9-12
