Laura B. Guilliams, M.A., RYT 200

Laura has been practicing yoga for 16 years and began teaching beginners and children in 2014. She earned her 200-hour yoga teacher training certification from Anna Pittman at The Breathing Space in Blacksburg, Va. and is currently working toward her 500-hour certification.

Believing yoga is more than a way to relax and relieve stress, Laura invites her students to carry their yoga class experience into their daily lives by teaching techniques, poses, and a little bit of whimsy they can use at any time. Yoga can be accessible to anyone and Laura enjoys the challenge of creating a class that is suitable for people regardless of their experience with yoga and body movement.

Laura has also served her community as a crisis intervention professional for more than ten years, working with survivors of trauma and advocating for the rights of children and adults who have experienced sexual and interpersonal violence. She holds a B.S. in Communication from Radford University and an M.A. in Educational Leadership from the University of Central Florida.
