Join us for a 4 day program of beats, bars, and production! Students will get to write, produce, and debut their beats right here at the Jefferson Center. Beat Camp is for Middle to High-Schoolage students interested in learning about beat making, production, and recording. Come join us for a fun week of exploration in all things beat!

Learn from the best: At the Music Lab we are proud to offer up instruction from some of the best artists and professionals in the music business. We are excited to be joined by two incredible instructors Poe Mack and 808-Ray. Poe Mack is a local legend in Roanoke. An independent Hip-Hop artist whose career has included performing over 1000+ live shows as well as writing, producing, and recording his own music. 808-Ray grew up in Roanoke, VA and has grown to become a Grammy and RIAA Platinum award winning producer who has worked with artists like Beyonce, Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, Royce Da 5'9", and Fat Joe.

Weekly Itinerary:
Day One: Basics of Beat/Working With FL Studio
Day Two: Writing Beats/ Using Controllers
Day Three: Individual Work time
Day Four: Beat Debut
