Jan 13-16, 5PM-7PM
Come join us for an exciting week of instruction and performance! If you are a passionate Bluegrass picker and want to be a part of a recording and performance here at the Jefferson Center, this camp is for you!
How to Join: This camp is exclusively for Middle and High-School Students. Video audition is required for this camp as we are looking for the best of the best young Bluegrass musicians here in the Roanoke valley. We are looking for Fiddlers, Mandolin, Guitar, Banjo, and Bass pickers. The cost of the camp is $150. The Jefferson Center does provide scholarship opportunities open to any and all participants. Please contact Jack Marion at jmarion@jeffcenter.org for any scholarship quesitons.
Learn from the Best: At Bluegrass camp you will be instructed by experienced musicians and professionals in the field of Bluegrass music. We are lucky to be joined by national touring artist PJ George III and Hollins University adjunct instructor of Appalachian music Seph Custer. The only thing campers need to bring are themselves, their instrument, and an eagerness to learn.
Come and join us for the chance to improve your musicianship, learn from the best, and the opportunity to perform at the Jefferson Center.
